Education on the Opioid Crisis

ANA joins 25 National Nursing Organizations Working Together to Offer Education on the Opioid Crisis AND APNA offers a free, on-demand CE Course on Effective Treatments for Opioid Use Disorder

We want to share the following information regarding educational offerings to address the opioid crisis. We urge you to widely share information about these free opportunities with your members and other interested stakeholders.

First, to combat the nation’s opioid epidemic, 25 national nursing organizations have joined forces to offer a free online educational series that will serve as a resource for practicing nurses, faculty and students. The following topics will be addressed:

In addition, now through July 2018, the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) will be offering a free, on-demand CE course: Effective Treatments for Opioid Use Disorder: Educating & Empowering All Registered Nurses (RN) During an Epidemic. The module has been tailored to three separate groups: Registered Nurses (RNs), Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurses, and Advanced Practice RNs.
