The Personal Choice That Makes A Professional Difference
We are Wyoming Nurses working for Wyoming Nurses!
Why should I join the Wyoming Nurses Association?
WNA is the professional association for all registered nurses in Wyoming-a community of nurses across all specialties and practice settings working to promote the profession of nursing. This community of nurses is working to address the issues that face nursing on a daily basis as well as including issues of importance such as nurse workforce numbers, workplace safety, standards of care, scope of practice and patient safety. WNA focuses on practice, educational, political and professional issues that impact registered nurses in Wyoming. WNA does this for you by FOCUSING ON YOU!
As a Registered Nurse, you are constantly aware of the critical role of patient advocacy in your practice, particularly in today's chaotic health care environment. Membership in WNA is a tri-level membership. That means you have the opportunity to interact directly with your peers through Districts; to become involved as leadership in the state level; and to be involved at the national level through the American Nurses Association. Through WNA, you become part of the 2.2 million Registered Nurses nationwide who speak with ONE voice to foster high standards of nursing practice, speak up on workplace advocacy issues, project a realistic view of nursing to the community, and lobby elected officials and regulatory agencies at the state and national levels on health care issues affecting the profession and the public.
